The Inaugural New York Games Week, Establishing New York City as a Global Games Industry Destination
NEW YORK – Sept. 10, 2026 – The inaugural New York Games Week, a grand celebration of the video game industry and community, will feature events, showcases, conferences, tournaments, summits, professional mixers and meetups across the five boroughs of New York City from Oct 4 – 11.
New York Games Week partners with reputable organizations hosting their own events under the week-long celebration, providing the best opportunity for the global gaming industry to connect with the local New York gaming landscape.
As of today, the confirmed events include the East Coast’s largest pop culture convention with over 250,000 attendees, New York Comic Con, independent gaming exhibition Game-A-Palooza, the world’s first in-person Fashion in Gaming Awards, a collaboration between Women in Games and Game Devs of Color, and VGAmatuers will kick the week off with a 2-hr digital showcase streamed live on Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok; the show spotlights developers, trailers, reveals, and short interviews. New York Games Week will include 25 other activities and events throughout the city, with more to be announced.

New York Games Week is spearheaded by gaming industry veterans with decades of experience, including Guy Blomberg (Games Industry Gathering), Krysti Pryde (PlayNYC), and Amit Hossain (IGDA NYC).
